K27 Forever Memorial

This memorial is dedicated to Coeur d’Alene Police Department Sgt. Greg Moore, he was working May 5th, 2015 and was killed while on duty. This memorial honors his service to the local Coeur d’Alene community and gives respect to all law enforcement both active and retired.
The memorial was placed in McEuen Park on behalf of the Panhandle Parks Foundation which privately raised funds to set up the memorial. This project was prepared for on behalf of the family and friends of Sgt. Greg Moore and the City of Coeur d’Alene. We helped with the construction of the three waterfalls which have different principles: Respect, Honor, and Remember. We also installed blue fiber optic lighting which is meant to represent the police force. The boulders make the landscape design look dynamic and ergonomic. Our goal was to make the space open but center it around the three water fall memorials. The three monuments have benches for viewing, paved walkways, and a bridge leading to the falls. The actual monuments are well-lit at night to pay respect to community officers properly. The water features also have underwater lighting features which are cost-effective and help brighten the area after dark. A huge piece of this project was installing the thin blue line, which is placed next to the Respect Falls. Installation of the lighting fixtures is cost-effective and provides a unique look which makes the memorial construction complete.
We respect the community and the service of local law enforcement, emergency medical technicians, and fire fighters. Thank you for working hard to keep our local communities safe and sound.
