This was a very unique project, in that it is a new community park inside an established Spokane neighborhood and was very organic in the way that it was built. It was a design build approach in which the design largely happened as it was being built. We recycled material from on site or off site sources; everything from tree stumps to recycled concrete and incorporated these materials into many of the features. Much of the park was left in its natural state so it made sense to incorporate on-site materials to seamlessly blend nature with some of the bright colored features the park is made of.
