In collaboration with the City of Spokane, we transformed the heart of downtown into a dynamic urban landscape that honors the city’s rich railroad history. Inspired by the original train tracks that once ran through this area, the park’s walkways crisscross in unexpected angles, mirroring the historic rail lines. Signature BNSF orange metal accents pay tribute to Spokane’s industrial past, while lush plantings, trees, and rock mulch fill the spaces between paths, creating a vibrant and welcoming environment. Bark mulch surrounds the children’s play area, seamlessly integrating natural elements with the park’s modern design. This project beautifully blends history, nature, and urban revitalization, making it a landmark destination for the city.
